Our Lady Queen of Martyrs and became the first Armenians Catholic church to be established in California.
In 1952 Father Akian’s efforts were rewarded with the benevolent assistance of Cardinal McIntyre who gave him an existing church to use near Downtown Los Angeles. It was named Our Lady Queen of Martyrs and became the first Armenians Catholic church to be established in California.
